Roger Schall approached photography as an art of movement. Armed first with his Leica and later his Rolleiflex, he pushed beyond the apparent stillness of the medium, photographing from the street, a moving car or an unexpected vantage point. Athletes, racing cars, models and crowds become part of dynamic compositions shaped by speed, rhythm and spontaneity. Whether freezing a fleeting gesture or embracing blur, Schall did more than record movement: he translated its energy into a distinctly modern photographic language.
